Mena Alexandra (born on 13 February 1979) is an actress and model from the United States. After a brief period as a fashion model, she quickly transitioned to acting by appearing as a guest on TV shows such as Boy Meets World in the 1990s, and High Incident. The actress made her debut in film in the 1997 dramatic film Nowhere. Through her roles in American Beauty - for which the actress was nominated receive the BAFTA Award - and American Pie, which garnered more attention from the public and recognition, she was able to move into larger roles. She's appeared alongside the co-star of American Pie Jason Biggs in Loser (2000) before starring as the role of lead in Sugar & Spice (2001). Spun And Trauma a thriller film from 2004, were two of her appearances. The actress was a part of HBO's drama series Six Feet Under. In 2004 she received an award for the Outstanding Cast Member at the Screen Actors Guild Awards. In 2008, she featured in several films including Day of the Dead The Mysteries of Pittsburgh and the film adaptation of The Garden of Eden. She has been a supporter and a defender of the African Medical and Research Foundation, a prestigious charity that offers assistance to the African continent.
